I’m looking for a Crock-Pot or pressure cooker beans recipe. I can never get my beans to turn out. They always seem to have a crunch left to them, particularly black beans. I’d love to make some dried beans if anyone has a go to recipe that works for them!
I LOVE them in the Instant-Pot. I soak for 6 hours or overnight, then cook. You can make them without soaking too, they just need a longer cook time. Cook times depend on the type of bean, too. What type are you making? PS: This will be in am upcoming bean tutorial as well.
I love making dry beans in the pressure cooker. I can’t break my habit of soaking beans, so they still get the 6-8 hours or an overnight soak. I use 1 1/2 cups of water for each cup of beans in general. If you haven’t checked it out yet, Jill Nussinow’s Vegan Unde Pressure has a fab chart for cooking soaked or unsoaked beans. I haven’t had a bad batch since I picked up the book. Good luck!
