  • Those look amazing!!!

Aren’t you Canadian as well? I’ve only ordered from Dr F twice because I can’t stomach the almost $50 shipping fees once it’s converted ๐Ÿ™

  • Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!

Your journey has been so inspiring to follow. And to get so darn close to Fuhrman’s ideal weight!? Not easy and yet , you are there! I needed a kick in the pants after I got into the chocolate (vegan and dark but still!) last night and this was it. I shall push forward so I can be next!

    Congratulations on your milestone!

The pleasure trap is totally a thing! My 13 year old tried to eat his advent calendar chocolate for breakfast the other day instead of getting himself something more reasonable. He doesn’t get a chocolate for at least another week because he ate ahead ๐Ÿ™‚

  • That’s what I usually do. Put 2 pieces of fruit in the blender with a shit ton of greens. I really never thought of blending hard veggies with very little or no fruit. My dad was over last weekend and he was drinking them and totally inspired me. He is very committed to his health and nutrition and actually healed himself from an autoimmune…[Read more]

  • So my new thing is blended salads. Last night I filled my blender with celery, zucchini, collards, carrots, broccoli sprouts, avocado, lemon and 1 apple. Blended it all with water and got 5 bottles of blended salad out of it. The taste is very mild and delicious. Not at all offensive like you’d think and SO nutritious. A nice change from my…[Read more]

Technically speaking, snacks are discouraged on the lifestyle as it contributes to recreational eating. That said, if you are looking for something portable and compliant, Larabars are a good choice and they are just fruit and nuts. They are also super tasty! ๐Ÿ™‚ You can also make them if you are so inclined and have a good food processor.

  • So I’m adding some cooked food back into my diet to try to slow down my digestion. I was having a too fast transit time with some cramping so I tried some oatmeal this morning and it was delicious! Funny how much I have missed my regular foods.

One practice I have really been enjoying is juicing. I’m thinking of making juice every two days…[Read more]

  • Funny I have been using apple cider vinegar and lemon juice as my salad dressing as well so maybe that’s helping. Still keeping my diet clean and raw with a little lentils here and there. Going to wait a couple more days and then add in some more cooked food. I feel really well giving my body a break! And I’m down 6 pounds which is a nice bonus.

  • Still here and going strong. Going to make an effort to get back into the accountability posting.

I’ve been eating 100% raw this week as I’m trying to avoid a full blown cold. Everyone around me has had this awful chest infection that seems to last for a month and I felt the beginning s of some chest congestion a few days ago so I decided to…[Read more]

  • I’m quiet but I’m still here. I’ve not been 100% as I ate some refined stuff when I was down and under (which is silly I know!). And better yet I’m back to a solid workout routine so I’m feeling great! I’m back to lifting and doing some cardio and have been consistently hitting the gym 5 times a week.

Weigh in is this weekend. I’m excited to…[Read more]

I am off now and naturally have no hunger. Keeping these things in mind.

Of course, this week I food prepped a ton of stuff and now can’t eat! Arg!

  • Thanks for the check in! I’m doing okay – not fab but okay. Work has been overwhelmingly busy so I haven’t been food prepping as much as I’d like but I’m doing okay. I am now dealing with a stomach illness of some sort and can’t eat so I will get back to my daily posts once I have something to share ๐Ÿ™‚

I am looking forward to the hosted…[Read more]

Great advice! Where did you see this posted on his site?

  • Day 10 – still going strong. Did a turbo kick class yesterday at lunch and it was tough. I tend to lift weights a lot however I don’t do a lot of cardio so I’m definitely not used to that level of intensity. It was nice to work up a sweat though.

My period is on full force and my digestive system is unhappy so I’m not going to lift weights…[Read more]

  • Day #9 here and I’m feeling good. last night was tough as I didn’t have time for dinner. Had an issue at work and it ended up blowing up my night. I was starving and ended up eating a handful of cashews (ok maybe 3) and some chocolate covered seed clusters. Interestingly despite the fact that I messed up since there was a small amount of sugar…[Read more]

  • So I’ve been searching for a tea with the same ingredients as the Trader Joe’s Tumeric tea that Bethany raves about. There are a ton of teas with turmeric but done had licorice (which I LOVE) until this one! Going to try it shortly. Very excited :). How I wish we had Trader Joe’s in Canada 15086306091551726402352

    • 2 people like this.
      • Thanks! I saw that one but it doesn’t have licorice. I feel like I need the licorice to add some sweetness and counteract the ginger which I’m typically not a fan of. Is the Trader Joe’s one sweet from the licorice or does it not play a big role in the taste? Maybe I will just have to suck it up and order the TJ’s brand at 15 bucks a box.

      • It’s slightly sweet. Subtle, but there. Probably the licorice! Maybe I should start a Trader Joe’s product delivery service… ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Yes! You don’t know how lucky you are! I pay 12 bucks for a bottle of coconut aminos!! I may need to just take a road trip once a quarter:)

      • WHAT oh my goodness. I wonder how much it would be to ship you a box of stuff. Does USPS from here to Canada do based on weight I wonder? I’ve only mailed a few cards and letters and it was just a few dollars.
PS: I have been tossing around the idea of creating a Nutribabe Box subscription. Probably quarterly to start… ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I think it’s all based on weight. I know shipping even within Canada is silly. Ugh. It can’t be worse than the ridiculous inflated prices though. I’ve paid $50.00 CDN to get Dr F’s supplements to my door! :(. I honestly can’t imagine it’s that expensive for a few light bottles of vitamins!!! I would love to have someone who would accept a…[Read more]

  • Day #8 and I’m prepped and ready. Going to lift weights today and I have a nice salad and soup packed along with a green smoothie. Going to fast until 11 or so and then do my workout.

Stepped on the scale this morning and I’m down 3.5 pounds from my first week. I’m also beginning my cycle so I’m quite happy with that loss considering I…[Read more]

  • Your veggies look delicious. I made the sunny burgers years ago and was not a fan. maybe I should try the chickpea ones. Oh she glows has a fantastic veg burger recipe that can be tweaked to be nute friendly. Link below:

  • That’s a great food prep! I’m lucky to get a double batch of soup and a base salad. I typically ensure there are beans in my soup but would really benefit some adding some cooked veg to my meal prep. I will try that for next week. Roasted Brussel sprouts is sounding mightly good

  • Day 7. I’ve made it a full week at 100% compliance!

I did an insanity cardio workout today and eating has been on par. Making a double batch of Tomato Bisque soup from the original cookbook shortly to eat for the week. It’s my kids favorite soup. Base salad is prepped and in the fridge with a date, ginger, turmeric dressing. I’m feeling…[Read more]
