A Love Chard Salad Base is all of the “firm” ingredients of a gourmet salad that will keep fresh even after chopping for about 5 days.
- Sturdy leafy greens [Kale, baby kale, collard greens, etc.]
- Other hard vegetables [cabbage, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, carrots, onions]
We make them about 5 pounds which lasts 2 people about 4ish days. If you are prepping for just yourself, shoot for about 2.5 pounds. Note: You’ll be adding extra ingredients, toppers, and the dressing to your salads each time you prepare your meal.
Watch the video below the recipe also located in Lesson 6 of the How to Build a Nutri-BOMB Salad Course. A great course for those wanting to up their salad game. Mrs. Love Chard does the talking and Mr. Love Chard does the chopping.

Chop all ingredients and add to a large Love Chard sized mixing bowl.
Squeeze lemon over entire salad and mix together with your hands. This will keep your salad fresh in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can also substitute lemon juice for equal parts vinegar.
Store in one large or many serving sized container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Add whatever other whole food, plant-based toppings you prefer each day until it's gone. Repeat. 😉
